  • 2 slices rye bread
  • 2 slices white bread
  • 1`med. onion
  • 4 sprigs parsley
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 Tbsp. Parmesian chees
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 1/4 rsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1-8 0z. can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  1. Grease shallow baking pan.  Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Soak bread in I cup water.  Chop onion & parsley fine.  Mash bread with fork.
  3. Mix ground beef, bread, onion, parsley, cheese, slightly beaten egg, salt & pepper.  Mix well & put in baking pan.   Shape into loaf.  Top with butter & bake 30 min.
  4. Pour tomato sauce over meat.  Sprinkle with oregano & bake 20 min. longer.
