  • 2 cups self rising flour
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk

Cut shortening into flour to resemble coarse crumbs.  Add enough milk to make a soft dough.  Turn onto floured board.  Knead only until smooth.  Roll and cut.  Place biscuits lightly touching on ungreased sheet.  Bake 10-12 minutes @ 450°.
