- 2 slices rye bread
- 2 slices white bread
- 1`med. onion
- 4 sprigs parsley
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 Tbsp. Parmesian chees
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. water
- 1/4 rsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1-8 0z. can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. oregano
- Grease shallow baking pan. Preheat oven to 375.
- Soak bread in I cup water. Chop onion & parsley fine. Mash bread with fork.
- Mix ground beef, bread, onion, parsley, cheese, slightly beaten egg, salt & pepper. Mix well & put in baking pan. Shape into loaf. Top with butter & bake 30 min.
- Pour tomato sauce over meat. Sprinkle with oregano & bake 20 min. longer.
